Date Night!

Lenten update ~ Today I am grateful for the diversity and joy that cooking has brought to my life.  It is such a revelation that I love this so much, but cooking has become my stress reliever and a way for me to feed our family in a healthy way that is safe for me with Celiac disease.  When the dancing daughter told me that her friend said she would marry my cooking if she could, it was music to my ears!

Last weekend I started to read an article (but have yet to finish!) about Serenity Sunday’s and scheduling at least one day per month where you have no plans and do not run around like a lunatic.  I mentioned this to my family and they all laughed at me and said, words to the effect, “yeah right, like you’ll ever do that.”  Today was NOT one of those days with more than 15 items coming out of my kitchen.  I still have many more to create tomorrow so maybe next Sunday……..

But, since I’ve been so busy creating for you, I haven’t had time to write up a post and I’m headed out for a date with my true love for his birthday for friends.  I promise I’ll make it up to you but for now you’ll just have to wait until tomorrow for a very special feature week that you’re sure to love ♥

For now, though, here is a photo of the ice cream cake for our family dinner tomorrow night.  It has been an interesting creation and I’ll make sure I do a full rundown on the How To in the future.  Forgive the poor lighting but the continued rain makes for a challenging photo.
